Take The 3D Wedding Venue Tour

Choosing the right wedding venue for your special day can be challenging, especially when there are so many venues to choose from. At House for an Art Lover it’s our aim to try and make it as easy as possible for couples to find the information they are looking for. It can be so easy for you to be overwhelmed with possibilities when making those first tentative steps in planning the day. Let’s be honest choosing the right wedding venue is going to be one of the most important decisions you will make, so you want to get it right!

With the huge variety of venues available it can often be a case of working on what you don’t want first, so that you can then focus on what you are looking for from your wedding venue. For some people the perfect venue will already be at the forefront of their mind (or wedding folder!) before the engagement ring is even on their finger, however for most people the first port of call will often be online, let’s ask google and see what comes up! We have worked really hard on our wedding page with Mucky Puddle, our web team to make sure it’s easy to navigate and find information. We are also in the fortunate position of having lots of our couples who are happy for us to share their beautiful pictures too, and as they say a picture speaks a 1000 words.

Then we thought, how can we make it even easier for our couples, we know how busy everyone can be and it’s not always easy to co-ordinate calendars with your other half and get out to see numerous venues. While a gorgeous picture can sing to your heart strings you are always going to want to see it for real before you make a decision and secure a date. So what could help bridge the gap between seeing the picture and making the appointment? Easy, a virtual tour of the venue - so that’s what we did, twice!

The Mackintosh Suite at House for an Art Lover is pretty iconic as wedding venues go, however you would be surprised how many people have never been to visit. The virtual tours we have are the ideal way for couples to get in and have good nosey around the rooms to get a real feel for the spaces. There are a several rooms within the suite and they can be used in various ways for your wedding, depending on your numbers and ideas.

Tour one was created last year and with this you can take a full walk through of the suite featuring a wedding of up to 80 guests. The Main Hall is set for your ceremony before walking through to the Music room as set for you wedding meal. After looking around the main rooms you can wander along the corridor and have a peek in to the Oval Room, this is your room for the day with its own private bathroom. The next stop on the tour is the ground floor, here you will find the evening reception set and ready to go. The fairy lights are strung, the bar is stocked, the dancefloor inplace, all you need is your band and your guests and the party can start! The beauty of this space is that while are both enjoying your meal with guests our staff are doing the hard work to set the evening reception room, so that as soon as coffees are finished everyone can move straight down to be joined by any additional evening guests - no waiting around for rooms to be re-set!

The second phase of our virtual project was completed this Autumn and happily Tour 2 is now live too. This 360 walk through of our venue gives guest the chance to see our rooms set in the opposite perspective. Here you will visit the Music Room set for your ceremony before walking through to set the tables set for your meal of up to 120 guests. This tour features the Main Hall and Dining Room opened to their full capacity, the spaces flow seamlessly together thanks to work carried our to widen the adjoining Mackintosh doors. When we were creating this tour with Paul at Virtual Keyhole he suggested that we go a step further and take the tour outside. As a result there are a number of opportunities to pop outside and have a look around some of or outside areas. You can visit the front garden, the Mackintosh balcony and Walled Garden all from a full 360 vantage point!
