House for an Art Lover has the unique advantage of having the Studio Pavilion, Gallery and Art Studios all within the beautiful surrounds of the venue. Having such a diverse range of talented individuals teaching and coaching in the Studios on a regular basis it made complete sense for us to tap into their amazing skills to offer some unique activity options for our coporate clients too. The talented team in the Arts Department have put together some fantastic creative actvities, all designed to be delivered in a short time scale with team work in mind. 

All of our art classes and team building activities are delivered by artists selected for their unique practises and excellent facilitation skills, so your delegates will be in very capable hands!

Option 1              Drawing is Fun!

This short and dynamic 1 hour class is designed to get participants out of their comfort zone and trying experimental drawing techniques that shatter notions that drawing must be perfect, exact and technical to be successful. The skills allow us to tap into our creative brains and gets participants engaging in aesthetic problem solving.  Participants will surprise themselves, laugh and learn about simple drawing techniques used in art schools that allow beginners to loosen up and express themselves.

Option 2              Games for Confidence Building and Connection  

When’s the last time you played a game? This 1 hour energetic course will be full of ice breakers and confidence building drama games.  Designed to bring participants out of their shells by engaging them in using their voices and bodies through laughter and fun.  A rare chance to have a giggle and express yourselves!  Great for confidence building, loosening up and communicating.

This course is for groups looking for an enjoyable, short and fun ice-breaker class.

Ideal group size is 5-20.  More than 20 people can be split into multiple groups and rotated.

Option 3              Brilliant Sculpture

This is an amazingly simple sculptural technique that allows you to make a perfect replica of your own hand through casting with alginate.  The experienced artist facilitator will guide the group through this messy, fun, tactile and awe-inspiring process that sculptors use frequently in their practises.  Participants will come away will their very own sculpture of their hand.  This is a great intro to sculpture as it’s so beautifully simple, the results will blow you away.  Aprons provided!

This course is for complete beginners and groups looking for an enjoyable and creative ice-breaker art class.

Ideal group size is 3-12.  More than 12 people can be split into multiple groups and rotated.

Duration: 60mins.
