Architecture Workshop (15 Oct)

A day-long workshop exploring Glasgow’s buildings and architecture with a focus on the use of red sandstone.  This workshop will encourage participants to search for historical clues in the marks, spots, scratches and lines that occupy the surfaces of buildings across the city.

The workshop will begin with a presentation and tour of the Heritage Centre, participants will go on to produce sketches that will be converted into stencils and screen printed onto memorabilia (tote bags, tea towels, posters and postcards).

Ages 16+

Marija Nemcenko is a Lithuanian artist living and working in Glasgow. She graduated from the Master of Fine Art (MFA) at The Glasgow School of Art in 2016. Her artistic practice often draws upon influences from contemporary myth making, including social and mainstream media and advertising. Marija was recently in residence in one of our studios here at the Centre for Arts & Heritage.
