Experimental Drawing and Painting

If you've ever fancied trying some distinctly different approaches to drawing and painting, then this class is for you! Working from the human figure, still life and photographs, this fun weekend will take you on a journey through unorthodox mark-making and paint-handling techniques, embracing chance and letting the materials lead you, it'll open your eyes to a whole new world of experimental art-making. Line, shape, colour and texture... but not as you know them! Working in a variety of scales and with a broad range of materials, prepare for the unexpected!

Douglas Morland is a Glasgow-based visual artist whose recent exhibitions include a solo show at The Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow, group exhibitions at La Friche, Marseille and Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art. This year he was also selected for a prestigious Visual Artist residency at Cove Park.
