Creating Hand-Painted Papers

Create a range of hand-painted papers using a number of fun techniques to make a small visual journal. You will explore mixed media and mark-making techniques to make expressive designs on paper. This workshop will encourage you to loosen up your painting skills and to become more exploratory and experimental. You will leave with a small paper journal as a reminder of a fun-filled and engaging day.

May Byrne studied at the University of Glasgow and is a professional artist and educator. She has developed an instantly recognisable style of expressive painting and has received many awards and accolades for her work, which is held in a number of private and public collections. May was also Vice-President and Honorary Treasurer of the Paisley Arts Institute (2011 – 2015).
