What’s happening at the house in March 2015?
February, the shortest month of the year and we still managed to pack so many exciting things in to the house that we have hardly stopped. March is set to be an even more exciting month with Mother’s Day lunches and new exhibitions. Read on to find out more about how you can enjoy the house this month. Our new exhibition ‘The art of cultivating hope’ runs from the 16th February to the 16th of March daily from 10am to 5pm in our café gallery. Brought to you by the Armed Forces charity Gardening Leave the exhibition is composed on 16 contemporary botanical paintings by Amicus Botanicus. The exhibition will raise awareness of the work Gardening Leave do, using horticultural therapy work with troubled veterans at its sites in Ayr, Erskine and forthcoming project in Dundee. To find out more about this important exhibition check out our website.
The House for an Art Lover was featured in a special compilation episode of Flog It! The house looked great as Paul Martin used it as an exceptional backdrop throughout the show. Then he took part in one of our Life Drawing classes. If you fancy trying your hand at one of our art classes then we have plenty to choose from here. Remember you can catch up on our special guest appearance on Flog It using iPlayer.
Don’t forget to treat your Mum this Mother’s Day on Sunday the 15th of March. We’ve put on an exceptional menu just for her in our Art Lovers Café and we would love it for you to join us. Along with spectacular food including Seabass and Ayrshire Lamb you can work off your lunch with a walk around the house. Our 2 course lunch will cost you £19.95 and our 3 course lunch £23.95. Have a look at our menu before you come along, it really is excellent food.
