Picture Lands - Megan Taylor
June 2015 – September 2015
Throughout her residency Megan investigated the inscapes and outscapes of House for an Art Lover, which are inspired by recurring themes such as the distortion of structure, narrative and human perception. Her body of work showcases ‘picture lands’ created from her spatial narrative interpretations, which challenge two-dimensional and three-dimensional space working together as one entity.
Megan is a Visual Artist and Illustrator living and working between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Her practice encompasses a wide range of disciplines, with projects ranging from drawing and painting to sculptural collage, installation and immersive environments. Most recently, her work explores the possibility of Architectural Absurdities, where spatial ideas appear impossible and illogical.
